Sounds like another average latin american to me, not that i've seen much of him. Martinez has probably been after him for a while.

edit: Being slightly befuddled my brain isn't working as it should, but have we ever had an Argentine play for us before? I can't think of one.

We had Bartelt on loan, though he never played. Think he made the bench once, and that were it.

Well Mark Hughes didn't have much say in who was bought at Citeh and I don't think Ancelloti really wanted Torres at Chelski, so maybe we're adopting a similar policy in anticipation for eithers imminent arrival...

I doubt it. And I hope not. No decent manager is going to want to work under those conditions. Ancelloti may be more used to it but I don't remember what the set up was like at Milan. I'm sure they would want a say in who comes and who goes.

Didn't actually see much of him, but put a few away for West Ham looking at his record (7 goals in 12 games).

I think Demba Ba could be a good signing. A bit inconsistent, but he's got ability. He'd be good foil for Bent I think.
