However with the possible advent of a new manager, those players who might want to leave might decide they want to stay, who knows? Nothing should happen until the manager's position is sorted, one way or another... or perhaps it already has been sorted?

It is rather strange state of affairs. It has been ever since Mon scarpered in all honesty. Let's hope this so called announcement on Wednesday makes everything clearer and we can crack on with a highly productive summer!

news I saw earlier

According to reports Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal is attracting interest from the Premier League including Bolton Wanderers.

It is also understood that Kayam considering his options at the SPL giants.

The People claim Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is ready to make a move for the Israeli midfield ace who wants a big-money move in the summer.

It is believed that Coyle’s Aston Villa counterpart Gerard Houllier is also eyeing the highly-rated 23-year-old.

Houllier sees him as a the future of Villa’s midfield with Bulgarian Stiliyan Petrov and free agent Nigel Reo-Coker expected to move on.

A fee of £3 million is expected to be enough to secure his services

Kayal will go for much more than £3million and to a much bigger club than Bolton.

I've recommended him on these pages before.

However, he has been watched by Liverpool and Man United so we may face some competition.

In light of the news / rumour that Houllier has gone, may I suggest the potential new left back is Warnock and the potential new attacking midfielder is Ireland. Clean slates and all that.

Agree with Warnock... if he is willing to commit to the club by moving closer. Ireland has never shown the slightest interest in the club... picking him ahead of more determined players would send out a wrong message.
