It's not. He's a completely pointless player. Can't tackle, can't score, can't run. He can pass fairly nicely, but if we want somebody who does nothing apart from move slowly and pass it then we still have two years left on Petrov's contract.

Aren't you the poster who also said Cameron Jerome had a comparable scoring record to Gabby too?

Getting one match of reliability out of Hargreaves is seemingly a problem.

And if your definition of someone being a good signing is 'better than Salifou or Osborne' then you have the lowest standards ever. I'm assuming the Gabby bit was a joke.

You'd be lucky to get 20 minutes football out of Owen Hargreaves, never mind 1 season. Way way too much of a risk, he should call it day. In fact i'm surprised he has'nt already.

a) jerome - no not me, I dont think I've ever actually watched him play - so don't bother putting words in my mouth in future,

I wanted him when he went there but he seems to have had a poor time of it. I can think of worse players to sign. A move might be what he needs. I do think he will need a strong and dominant partner.

I'm usually the one having a go when we sign players from relegated teams but to be honest I'd go down the road, offer the alliance about 5m for Dann , about 8m for Foster and then go and get Der hammer back on a free.

Foster and Dann to start, Hitz as a bench player , all for about 13m (although I think Dann will end up in Scouseland) and then we can spend the real money where we need it

For me if Downing and AYoung go, and we get N'Zogbia and Adam, then i would'nt be too disappointed with that.

We need to sign Walker, and as for LB, i would sign the Wigan LB.

Goalie, Foster for me, and sign that Capote for central midfielder.

Would'nt be too bothered if Gabby goes either.
