If he's seriously saying there is no-one in our price range at home or abroad who's 26-28, and who could do a job as good as parker then fair enough. I think Parker would be a good fit in a midfield three with maybe Makoun and Delph but £10m is a lot to pay for him bearing in mind his age. I'd rather see us spend a chunk of that on Walker.

Parker isn't in the " top 10 of the world's greatest midfielders" but then that isn't the market we're shopping in, is it.

He's the type of player we need and as you are unable to offer a better alternative I'll stick with wanting him.

Carrick is slightly out of his depth at Man U, always has been, could be a different proposition at Villa, fact is if Carrick was put up for sale by Man U, which i doubt, you would see only the top clubs come in for him.

He was a very decent player and could be again, still an England player, you maybe right its been sometime since he was a real force in the game so it maybe beyond him now, doubt it though.
