If we even put in a bid for Barton, my season ticket would go back.

Yeah and I would only view Villa streams in a small window instead of watching it full screen

I haven't made a payment yet so if they're going to bid, they'd better hurry up.

I'd really like us to get a good exciting signing early in the close season, because I'm feeling a little pessimistic about this summer.  I think we'll do really well to be as strong squad-wise next year as we were this.

Strangely I'm a lot more optimistic about transfer activities this year than last.

At least we can expect something to happen before August.  I honestly believe we might come out of this summer quite well.  I don't think we'll manage to get Walker out of Ol' Hangdog, he's been quite loose lipped (=D) about players who might leave but not a peep about Kyle have I heard.  And if we are more or less resigned to losing Ash then we have 5 crucial signings.
We have L.Young, Ciaran Clark, Cuellar, (who's probs going to still be around), Baker, and I believe Collins plus the up and comings.
Jean II, Delph, Albrighton, Bannan, Gardner, Hogg, I'd think one of Petrov/NRC, Downing will give us at least one more year.
  Bent, Delfouneso, Gabs.

1st (+2nd) choice keeper (if Brad #1 does chuff off), CB, LB or RB, creative MF/LMF, striker.  Not beyond the relams of possibility.  Cheer up folks it's still only May!

I have a feeling that we may have him on loan again next season, I doubt Spurs will sell him but they still have Corluka, Hutton and Naughton at rite back so they may fancy him being out on loan to a prem team were he's guarantee'd to play.

Corluka or Hutton would suit me.

Or Onouha if Man. City want about 6m for him.

People would take Corluka and Hutton over one of our best players this season? Walker has been superb ever since he joined. Straight away he made an immediate impact and has done great at right-back. I don't know any Villa fans who don't want to sign Walker.

So annnoying we only got him on-loan. He's a priority signing this summer.

I think he means if Spurs decide they want to keep Walker we could sign one of the two players he would be replacing as Spurs' right-back. Not that he would sign them in preference to Walker.

I can't say I'd want Hutton or Corluka though.

That's a good shout. The only way I'd accept Barton coming to us would be in a straight swap for Ireland. At least we'd have nothing to lose then.

The only way I would accept Barton coming down here is in handcuffs  straight to Winson Green.

So how much money do you think those 7 players  will cost and how much do you expect us to bring in through sales? Friedel, NRC, walker, heskey will fetch nowt and warnock, Ireland, dunne, beye aren't likely to fetch much. Whereas unless we can find some bosmans I reckon you'd be looking at the best part of £40m for the 7 positions you mention. This is why I really think we should hold on to friedel and NRC.

Really?  I think he is a liability and has  been piss poor for the most part.  Caught out of position far to often at the back and with a terrible cross completion ratio going forward.   Ok he can run, so what, that's not good enough.   I hope we don't sign him.

The only way I see us getting much money for Ireland this summer is if we drive him to a patch of waste ground, set him on fire and claim the insurance.

Ireland and a few quid for Enrique maybe... or get him down to Fulham and go after Hangelaand or Dempsey.
