Out of the keepers available I'd like to have Foster. If we can't have him then we should get Foster.

At first I wanted Given, but then realised he's in his mid 30's.

So Foster is your number 1 choice..........

I heard it this am and thought it was prob bull myself. However i then got told about it this pm from someone I trust with very good sources!
Hope it comes off myself as it solves our keeper issue in the long term too!

No chance of re-signing Gavin McCann, he has just announced his retirement on the BBC website if you are interested.

Bugger. Oh well, we'll just have to settle for second choice.

You can sign people and their contracts begin on july 1st and money goes through then etc. Just like a pre contract agreement.

Deals can be agreed and announced before then. Such as De Gea to United has been announced.

Ha, true that, I'd forgot. Is it my imagination, or did we sign Stanley Victor the day after the season ended in....er, 1994? I'm sure we did...

You can sign somebody to a contract that states they will sign for your club before the 1ts July, they just wont actually move untill that date. Re: Javier Hernandez last summer

Not convinced at all by Foster.

The guy has said he couldn't handle the pressure of playing for a club the size of Man U. He's also retired from international football at 28, which seems bizarre unless he couldn't hack the pressure of that as well. Obviously we don't compare to England or Manchester United, but we're sure as hell a lot bigger than Watford and Blues.

It's a gamble. I've seen him make mistakes fairly consistently through his career too, and his kicking and ability to deal with backpasses always looks extremely suspect. For me Paul Robinson is a much better, if not as long term, bet.

Haha, typo.

I meant Robinson. If we can't get Foster I'd like Robinson...

I agree about his kicking it is shocking. I think he is a superb shot stopper, but I also have serious reservations about his commanding of his area.
