Although fleet-footed, Cliche leaves holes in the defence big enough to drive a lorry through. It'll open up a can of worms if he leaves, but maybe he'll silence his critics if he stays.
But at the end of the day, it's just 11 v 11, and he always gives 110%, which is all you can ask of the lad, to be fair.

Doyle: Decent striker but someone who does a good job on his own up front running the channels.  I can't really see him working well with Dazzy B (yes, this is what I think we should be calling him) as that's too similar to his game.  If we were looking for a striker I'd hope we'd be getting something a bit different.

And about cliche, he's got an old head on young shoulders and he has GENUINE  pace.

funny reading the comments about Doyle. When we were linked with him under MON there were people running baths and reaching for toasters.

Yeah, but I think he's really shown what he can give to a side at Wolves.  Personally I don't think we should go for him, but a decent player nonetheless.

At the time i didnt want him, not because i didnt rate him but because we needed a goal scorer, now we have one I agree Doyle would do the legwork and Bent will put the ball in the net

A Premier League standard footballer would be nice.

Wayne Bridge?
See the post above yours.

That rules out Wayne Bridge.

Wayne Bridge?

That is quite possibly the worst suggestion on here in about the last 50 pages. Actually, that's wrong, forgive me, as I've just seen someone suggested Joe Cole recently...

A few years ago I didn't think there was much to pick between Nickey Shorey and Leighton Baines.
I do not still hold that opinion.
Baines would be a great signing but I think after Everton he'll be destined for loftier climbs than B6.

I'm currently laughing about Uncle Bob

Yesterday

Pires: "Henry called me yesterday and wants me to move to the MLS with him."

Today

Henry: "No I never the lying ******."

(Well, words to that effect!)

Enrique is solid, pacey, and good on the ball. I would only put Cashley ahead of him in the league. If we could get him it would be fantastic, but I agree, he would be pricey, and perhaps with a bit of decent scouting we could get an untried player cheaper.

Id love to see a back line of

Robinson
Onouha Hangeland Cuellar Enrique

Be a great back 5 in theory.

Well if the Barcodes want Ireland then we could probably look to do a swap deal. Maybe a £2-3m thrown in.

But as others have said there must be plenty of options further afield. Oscar Wendt from FC Copenhagen will be available on a free this summer. Cheikh M'Bengue from Toulouse has impressed me this season. He's young, tough tackling (sometimes too tough) and pretty good at getting forward. Should be gettable at £5m-ish.

Let's offer Man Shitty 15 mill for Jimmy after Ash has departed. He's gonna play for them even less now they are in the Champions League

If a new manager comes in, Wipes the slate clean i wouldn't be surprised Warnock be back into contention.

Haven't see this mentioned but a very odd story here. You've got money burning a hole in your pocket from selling Bent so obviously you first target is.......... erm....
