Parker is decent but 30 and injury prone. He will be hugely overvalued in the summer.

Hitz is a no too really. Its time for Makoun, Delph, Bannan, Gardner to be given chances. If we kept Reo Coker I dont think central midfield is an area we need to strengthen and thats with Petrov leaving. He could be a squad player covering wide left if we played 442 and also an option in a three man midfield but he is 29 now. He is still a lesser version of Gareth Barry really.

Dont think any other West Ham player is worth looking at.

Hitz would offer not much more than a free transfer from the shit.... Seb Larsson would offer. Larsson is also younger & not as injury prone.

A striker isn't a priority for us but I wouldn't say no to Demba Ba. 7 goals in 7 starts for the bottom side and a fair few in Germany too. He'll have a few clubs after him I reckon.

If he refused a fan an autograph after just getting relegated I'd sooner he didn't darken our doors. We dont need that kind of character at this club.
Otherwise he looks like a decent striker.
I'd rather we went for a player with a bit of panache to compliment what we already have though. Somebody like Gervinho or Sturridge.

Didn't know it was him that refused an autograph. Useful player though but I'd rather we had the two you mentioned. Not sure if either are viable though. I have a feeling Chelsea will want Sturridge back with Drogba looking like he'll be on his way out and Torres misfiring.

Jack Collison and Jordan Spence are the other two worth looking at too. Collison looked a hell of a prospect before his injury (when Zola wasn't wasting him out on the wing.)

I've got a feeling Chelsea will go in for Collison. He looks a great prospect. I hope we're interested.

I'm still yet to see what the fuss is about to be honest.

I watched him in a few games before his bad injury and he was very composed & good with both feet. I'd rather take a punt on him than have Hitz back.

Short write up on each member of the WHam squad here and what's likely to happen to them. I'd forgotten about Zavon Hines. He's out of contract so maybe worth a punt?

Really? I was hugely impressed every time I saw him play through the middle. A far better player than Noble who was getting all the plaudits back then when they broke through together.

Can we stop talking about buying any West Ham players.  I dont want any of them . Keep them away from our club.

I don't think there is actually anybody at West Ham I'd want to be signing.

Hitz and Ba, for example, don't offer anything better than we currently have.

Its quite possible I havent seen Collison at his best. But after hearing his name mentioned on here or elsewhere I made a point of watching him when given the opportunity and he was alright but nothing special.
Andy King at Leicester is another good young midfielder

But the type of player I think we need and if Houllier is still calling the shots, we'll probably get, is that defensive midfielder who is comfortable on the ball. An M'Vila or Moussa Sissoko. Probably more likely and certainly long term than Parker. Another outside bet is Mahamadou Diarra
They would compliment what we already have at the club with young attacking midfielders and Makoun. Maybe Kallstrom to replace Petrov too.

We're going to be in the same position as last season where players in will have to be offset by players out. As it stands we have Petrov, Reo Coker, Makoun, Delph and Bannan (assuming Bradley goes) for the centre midfield roles with Hogg also a consideration.

With NRC likely to move that only leaves room for 1 in by my reckoning.
