What about Zarate who was at the noses a few seasons back. Not sure what he's like for Lazio but from memory he was a link striker with a decent eye for a pass and found the net a few times as well.

plus he's got a freakishly large head.
Could be handy at corners, we've been shit this season at set pieces.

Have we scored direct from a corner this season?

Didn't Clark score vs. the arsenal with a header, and he got one against blackburn in the cup!

Mourinho joins United and Liverpool in battle for £15m-rated Villa winger Young

Jose Mourinho is ready to rival Manchester United and Liverpool in the £15m race for Ashley Young.

Young is out of contract at the end of next season and Aston Villa will sell the England winger this summer to ensure he does not run down his deal.
Heading for the exit? Young still hasn't signed a new deal at Villa Park

United are favourites to land the 25-year-old but Liverpool also hold out strong hopes. Young has told several Villa team-mates that he has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford, as revealed by Sportsmail.

But Real Madrid boss Mourinho has identified Young as a player who can not only succeed in Spain but make the La Liga club a future profit as well. Manchester City are also monitoring developments.

Joe Cole must be up there with the best for wasted talent. Would take him over Pires though!

I'd take Lee Hendrie, currently washed-up in Indonesia, over Pires.

I thought Lass looked really good v Barcelona.  Got stuck in but wasn't dirty like most of the Madrid team.  Used the ball well too.

I think Gabby will go imho.  Newcastle and Sunderland will have a few quid to spend on a striker in the summer.

I'd much prefer he went abroad then went to some other English club.  This may have been tounge in cheek Maz, but it will certainly get the Benzima rumours fired up again.

Sorry, he's simply not that good.
