"Whether it be attracting new players, or players coming to the end of their contract, a lot of decisions have already been made."

Interesting, This could mean A) Houllier is coming back or B) Gmac is going to take over (bad idea)

I can't see how we can bring new players in unless we know who manager is, we don't need another Ireland situation.

I guess players leaving is a bit easier Ie Warnock, beye

glad i'm not the only one to find this a strange statement. How can you say we have a plan to bring players in/let players go and then in the same breath not know if the person who's presumably planned it, is still going to be there. Very odd.

An exceptional financial offer, eh.

He's paying the villa to get out of leyton orient.  What?  sorry, L'orient.

Anyone seen this Amalfitano?

Is he any good? Where would he fit in in our team?

Juve are after him also.

He just put away a last minute penalty for Lorient to win against Lens. He seemed to be playing a withdrawn striker role tonight, more of No.10 role. Supported Kevin Gameiro well, seems to be a quick thinking passer and quite tenacious when he hasn't got the ball.
Was flicking between this game and Lille vs Arles, where Gervinho played a blinder again, got two more goals, taking him up to 17 Goals & 10 Assists for the season. Unless Gerard is taking lessons from Derren Brown, Gervinho will be going somewhere much bigger than here!

According to Guillem Balague, Villa have a scout at todays Espanyol v Bilbao game, not sure who they might be watching but given they are joined by scouts from Liverpool, Birmingham, QPR along with Moyes, Hughes and Redknapp, it probably doesn't matter.

If G Mac takes over, renewing my season ticket's going to be painful

With this out in the public domain, no wonder some of them look as if they've already given up and left the club.  Things like this should not be said during the season.  I appreciate that Gary Mack is trying to let Randy know that everything is fine and I can cope, please keep me in a job type rubbish, but, letting players know this stuff is hardly motivational is it?

I worry about the plan.I fear Randy wont grab the problems we have by the bollocks, which is whats needed.

If its Espanyol it will be the CF, i think hes an Argie.

If its Bilbao, it my be the young striker they have, 17 year old i think. But hes destined for bigger things than us tbh.

French striker Garra Dembele netted a hat-trick and created two goals for Levski Sofia as they defeated Sliven 5-0 to mark their 3rd win on the trot.

Dembele has been in red hot form all season long and his latest goal-scoring antics have upped his overall season tally to 29 goals in 30 appearances.

The powerful striker was an IMScouting Player on Fire in September 2010 following a fantastic start to the Bulgarian campaign, and he has since kept the fire burning with a very healthy supply of goals.

The 1.86m-tall powerhouse could have left the club during the January transfer window but opted to stay; he is now a much-coveted transfer target for the likes of Werder Bremen , Aston Villa and Everton, according to reports.

25-year-old Dembele became a Mali international in February despite playing for the France U-18 and U-19 sides earlier in his career.

Heskey finish.     Heard he would be more of a freebie .. Not much risk there.
