Well if we are talking about players who's wages we can't afford then Sturridge is a scratch, if City let you go because they think you are asking for too much then we can forget it.

Robinson would be a sensible signing, he's quietly had a very good season.

While we're at it, I'd go for Jonas Olsson at Blackburn, too. He's impressed me whenever I've seen him - a left-back/left midfielder - quick, athletic, good crosser, strong. Perhaps not quite 'there' yet to be our starting LB but could challenge for that spot and/or provide cover and give us an option further upfield if we want to rest Downing or switch him over to the right; he could be our third winger in the squad alongside Downing and Albrighton.

I'd offer Rovers Warnock and cash for the pair. Or Warnock and Dunne.

no chance warnock would go to blackburn or accept the wages they'd offer. same with Dunne

No chance Warnock would go to Rovers?

Just ponder that for a moment, Greg. This is the guy who's happy to toss away his Villa career rather than move from the family home in Lancashire. I wouldn't completely rule him out of a return there - though I do think Dunne might think himself above a move to Blackburn.

Spurs are supposed to be after Odiouswinger from WBA.

He'll certainly be on the move I reckon.

Worth a punt?

Striker isn't really a priority, the budget should be spend on Keeper, Defence, Midfield

i'm more interested how we're gonna get rid of some of the crap. If GH manages to get Ireland off the wage bill this summer then i reckon he's nailed on for Manager of the season before we've kicked a ball

Getting shot of Ireland is easy.  It's getting shot of him without costing us a fortune is the tricky thing!

aye, i'm seeing a SVC type write-off. Still got the same problem we had with MON with a lot of them. i.e., its not that clubs wouldn't want some of them, its the ridiculous wages MON put them on that scares clubs off and makes the players reluctant to move on.

I've been saying we should sign him for ages. Could play as supporting forward for Bent (like Beardsley and Cole) or could cover out wide if Young goes and we fancy resting/totating Downing/Albrighton. Yes please.

Isn't that pretty much like Gervinho, who we've also been linked with?
