I do like the look of that Capote?, BedsVillain.........exactly the kind of player we need. How old is he?

The young Dutch lad, does look a very good prospect at LB as well. Not sure about Naughton tbh, much prefereed Walker , pre-Spuds, and have not seen anything to change my mind.

BLF Capoue is 22 and teetering on the edge of the French national squad. Would be great to get him before he is a regular.
If Naughton is catching the eye at Leicester then great, maybe Spuds will let Walker go.
Wonder if Keiran Gibbs is looking for regular football somewhere?

Gibbs is a fine young player. Susan or Jill or whatever his name is will be keeping him out of that position for years.

Green: The problem is that he's an English 'keeper who has dropped a ricket. Every goalie makes errors but because of his nationality and what happened in South Africa the media always flag up his. I'd still prefer Robinson. He just doesn't inspire me.

Kallstrom: Meh. Do we really need another attacking central midfield player. It will only harm the development of our younger players who play in that position.

Gibbs: Definitely. But he'd probably be starting for Arsenal if he didn't get injured every time he's played. Clichy has been pap all season. It is only because their centre halves and goalkeepers are so willfully awful that he's appeared decent.

Hleb: Miserable whinging git. He's had his arse in his hands since he went to Blues and hasn't played more as he has been shit every time he has played. Avoid.

He'll know a fair few of the Villa lads as well from the various England teams he's played in. Could be worth an enquiry I'd hope!

Kallstrom is more than just an attacking central midfielder and with the possibilty of NRC, Pires, Bradley and Petrov not being there, we might well need him.

I think he has another year left so it wont be much. Something like the Makoun fee perhaps, if that.
If we sign him at all, of course.

I think Kallstrom is worth a punt.

The last Swede we had here was the great Olof.

Swedish players have a reasonable record in England, don't they?

(Don't bring up Brolin or Dahlin)

We do have a good tradition of scandinavian players.
We should always have a detachment of Vikings in our squad.

Some of the better ones anyway.

I think he makes sense - low fee, plenty of experience and looks like Bradley and NRC are not going to stay, Petrov may not, and Pires can't surely after the 5 minutes against Newcastle.

Bradley & Pires will be released, GED will offer contracts to Petrov & NRC as we cant sell everyone & the jury is out on Makoun

Another attacking central midfield player? To go with....? Makoun, Petrov, NRC are all deeper midfield players, Ireland's all but finished here, Bannan's not yet ready (if he ever will be) and I'm really not sure what kind of player Delph will end up being. I don't think we've really got anyone I'd class as an attacking central midfield player at the club right now.

Probably true, but Kallstrom's not really an attacking midfielder either.
