Wolves is a bad game to pick to use as an example
As would be Blackburn at home in the league
I would say Fulham at home may be a good gauge but don't think NRC played in that match ?

Surely the most relevant game is the last game?

Relevant to whether or not he plays the next game?  Yes, but as I said basing it on Wolves would mean 11 changes.

Relevant to our overall opinion of him as a player?  That would be very short sighted.

You don't have to be particularly good at Big Tackles in defensive midfield if you can read the game well enough to make interceptions. NRC cannot do this, he is not a clever enough player. If he's not using his energy to make tackles, there's not a huge amount else he's good at.

I hear he makes a faultless Victoria sponge.

Seriously, he used to tackle like Scholes which although agricultural at least used to put the wind up the opposition.  Even that seems to have ebbed away

Petrov is a better player for that role of breaking up play in my opinion. Ok, he may not have the pace/stamina of NRC, but he is cleverer and has a nack of being able to read the play.

Either way I think both players should be replaced in the summer. (Hopefully with Bradley coming in, he may have had a bad game v Man City, but I think he is a good enough player for us).

No.

Picking the last game is more relevant than picking a random game at will, as WikiVila suggested, is what I am saying.

Personally, I'll judge him over what I've seen over the time he's been here, and that is a very limited footballer who sometimes seems to lack even the most basic prerequisites of a top flight player, but one who is occasionally useful to be able to bring on.

I didn't pick a "random" game, I purposefully selected Fulham (h) as I think that game pretty much typified our season so far

Fair enough.  My opinion of him is slightly higher than yours, although basically the same in that he should be a squad player only, but aslong as you're basing it on more than one game I won't argue.

You're still picking a sample of one game, though, was my point, and if that's going to be how you judge him, then surely the most recent one is the most relevant?

Anyway. He's not very good, in my opinion, regardless of which game you pick, i guess it's all subjective, though.

I mean, I don't even rate Jermain Beckford.

People have mentioned NRC wanting £60/week. Has this actually been reported or people just guessing. It's sounds a helluva lot of money for a player that will (hopefully) be a squad player.

What would people guess Bradley is on? If he can find his world cup form then my guess he will be much better value for money.

Don't think Taarabt would leave QPR, he absolutely loves Neil Warnock, he was calling him a gift from God last week

Exactly how I see it. For both it's time to move on and for us to get a better version of each, now would be nice.
