Posible good news, if true.

Stoke are set to make a £4m summer swoop for out-of-favour Aston Villa defender Stephen Warnock.
Full story: Daily Mirror

Sod the journos, we need to get Pulis down to VP to sample our excellent catering and get well and truly pissed in the process.

   Don't laugh.........would Seedorf be worth a go?

Can see AC getting a younger squad, letting go of the older olayers, now probably past top 4 teams, but still a good enough player for teams in the chasing group.Much as i liked Pires as a player, i would prefer Seedorf. His experience and versatility would be fantastic, and tbh i think the challenge might intrigue him.If not, a quality old player, past his best, a la Pirs, would'nt be a bad idea.
I'm surprised Seedorf is 34, I thought he was much older than that.

If we were to go after any 30 something midfielder, I'd personally prefer Van Bommel.  Not that any of these players are actually on the agenda.

Ashley Young want's to go to Man U

Quote
Ashley Young will look to force through a dream move to Manchester United in the summer.

The England forward will resist any attempt by Aston Villa to revive contract talks in a bid to clear the path to Old Trafford.

Young is a long-term target for Sir Alex Ferguson, who views the 25-year-old as a successor to Ryan Giggs and Sportsmail understands Young has already told a number of Villa team-mates that he wants to move to United.

He could cost as little as £10million in the summer after being valued at £25m at the start of the season.

His current deal expires at the end of the next campaign and discussions over fresh terms have hit the buffers. With Villa faced with losing Young for nothing next year, they could have little option but to sell in the summer.

The forward has held a first round of talks with Villa over a four-year deal worth in the region of £70,000 per week, but has since decided he has no intention of signing.

It was always going to happen.

I think he'll play up in the summer & he'll fuck off.

Oh well, onwards & upwards.

Not many players have left VP lately & gone on to bigger & better things. (apart from bigger & better pay packets)

What we want is ManUre, BinDippers, Spurzz, Bayern etc etc to get into a bit of a bidding war.
Hopefully we'll get the price to over £15m
Kyle Walker as part of the deal may put Spurzzzz in pole position ?

You say that but Ireland, Barry and Milner are all now playing for teams above us in the table. And Carew for that matter.

He's not good enough for Maunure, but it's their money.

He probably is at the minute as their squad is a bit ropey,he'd be nowhere near good enough for their squads of the past.

I'm pretty sure a lot of players WANT to move to UTD but it does not mean it will happen

ManUre would play Valencia RW and Ash LW, feeding Berbatov with Rooney in the hole

He is a typical ManUre signing , just wish he'd done us the favour if signing s long term contract as reward to the club that gave him his main chance in football.

I'm pretty sure that's just lazy made up column filler.

It neither makes him more or less likely to go than us chatting about it on here!
