Robinson's not a bad shout actually. He's still only 31 (i thought he was much older) so we'd get a few years out of him but was'nt we rumoured to be looking at a German keeper?

I'd be happy with Paul Robinson, getting better with age

That's a good shout, but how much will he cost? I think there is going to be a big turnaround in playing staff this summer.

Widefella signed for someone else IIRC.

I wouldn't be against keeping Brad another season. Certainly better than signing Robert Green who isn't for me the answer.

Chris, Westwood has been voted keeper of the season the last 2 years in his division , agreed against blues he wasn't great but did make 2 top saves , on a free he would be a far better signing than your tip of Robert green- players in lower leagues often have hunger and quality and are more keen to impress.

Are you therefore saying we shouldn't have bought Fabian delph , or Liverpool should never have signed ian rush because they were inexperienced lower league players? Westwood is an international keeper not some raw kid for gods sake , we need 2 keepers and i'd be very happy to get Westwood on a free, ahead of Robert green anyday!

I can't believe anyone would take Green. Maybe he has more to do than most be he does seem prone to clangers.

No to Robert Green please, i'd rather go for Al Habsi from Wigan or Begovic at Stoke.

I've not seen Westwood myself, but throwing him in as first choice keeper might be a bit of a gamble. I think an experienced keeper while we get ourselves back on track is needed.

Please show me where I've tipped Robert Green?

I've said he's a decent keeper and that I thought there might be something in the rumour. I've also said I thought we could and should do better.

I just wonder how much those who are so enthusiastic about Westwood have seen of him to decide that he is the new Dino Zoff?

Come on chris , who the hell has suggested Westwood is the new dino zoff? Westwood is available on a free and a decent keeper, regarded by many as the best keeper outside the premiership and well worth taking on a free , I would like given as well and let them battle it out for the number one spot - robert green is not an option for me although Paul Robinson would be a good shout.

Akinfeev would be my choice. No chance of it happening though.

Last season I would of taken Westwood, but the 3 fingered folk I know say he has been a bit shaky.

Not as shaky as friedal and guzan have been bigad, as I say on a free transfer he would be a decent signing as one of 2 keepers we need, people living near me are always singing his praises and see him as the only jewel in their team.

I think there will be a few premier teams in for him and ranson said 5 had enquiries about him last month , but as he's out of contract in June it makes sense for them to wait. We could get Westwood and given for far less than Robert green and it would make far more sense in my opinion.
