We need to bring at least three or four players in this summer and ideally i would like to keep AY i think we do need to keep our better players although he is not playing aswell as he can i would still keep him.

Our main target should be a left winger in the summer, Gerrard obviously thinks Ash and Downing aren't good enough....

He doesn't want us to play with conventional wingers, people need to get beyond this 1970s ideas of how to set up a side.

You need to get out of Gerrards ass and realise that it's not working.

We have 2 left wingers that don't play on the left wing.

I'm assuming he wants the likes of downing to cut in from the right and shoot or thread Bent through. Well it's not working so let's whip some proper crosses in.

You need to rethink the way you phrase your arguments

I'd get 12m for Young and move on.

Been a very good player for us but I just don't like him in the hole at all, it's mid Feb and he's still yet to score from open play, its not very good compared to the likes of VDV and Tim Cahill is it?

Get Jarvis or N'zogbia in to replace him depending on which one of them gets relegated.

I like the idea of Downing centrally, he didn't do too badly there against City and he has a decent pass and a decent shot from distance so him infront of two defensive midfielders sounds o.k with a proper left winger and Marc back on the right.

Agreed. If you're going to attempt to insult someone, at least say "arse" not "ass".

It's not really an insult, it's more a phrase. That's what it's meant as anyway.

I have not been able to get this 2 left wingers not playing on the left out of my head.

If look at spurs they play with Lennon and Bale and are very effective, not just at crossing but at getting in behind.
We have Downing and Albrighton who can do the same job, but we don't we try to play like Chelsea and have lost all our width in the process.

I am trying to work out how many sucessfull teams play a right footed centre forward on the left wing, a left footed winger on the right wing and another winger as an attacking midfield player at the same time.

I can certainly see why we do it, it's just that at the moment we don't do it very well.

Messi, Robben and Ronaldo all play on the 'wrong' side and in the past Pires, Overmars and Waddle all did the same.

It's a very sensible tactic when used properly.

in totaly different situations, none of them played in teams with 3 players playing out of position.

Which is the point. They're not playing 'out of position'.
