Do you think Heskey could get down to Fitness First double quick with a camcorder?

Be far too dangerous to be the one filming, you'd be liable to end up eating the Camcorder after Heskey takes one of his shots.

It's okay he missed me and hit the car park attendant.

Leicester are loaded with their owners and look a great bet for promotion- ideal time for heskey to go home .

I wish our 'loaded' owner would 'unload' some of his money on new players. Don't mind Heskey going but want a replacement in first. Villa are great at culling and creating a 'small' squad then desperately trying to up the numbers before 5pm on 31st August. Or is it a case of Mr Lerner doesn't have the cash or the inclination these days??

I'd be ecstatic to see the back of him too!
There is that!
It might also force our hand to use Fonz and even Weimann a bit more. Fonz isn't really a kid any longer and it could be a good time for him to break through with more sense of there being an opportunity for him to make a name for himself. As I keep saying on this site, we've got great young players, let's use them!

Got a feeling Mcleish might keep Heskey. He knows him well and he is our only other forward with aerial power. Shay Given not on Man City tour. Will we see our first signing over the weekend ??

Apparently Wigan are off on tour on Monday so you would hope if we do move for Nzogbia it will be this weekend

He used to play for the club that McLeish used to manage before McLeish was there. Oh, and they were both internationals. Different countries but it's one big community.

Given is nothing like as good a keeper as some think and we would probably have been better off keeping Brad.

Absolutely. Let's hope our admin staff are back in today so we can make some progress on these transfers.

Heskey was at Leicester while McLeish was boss at Hibs - there's your link, right there.

Agreed Bentman. He's experienced. That's about it really. And has a dodgy shoulder.
Still can't understand why we let Brad go without having a definite replacement lined up...unless Brad desperately wanted out!? I know things have changed re manager etc but I don't think it's a secret that teams need a keeper!

I don't think we let Brad go - Spurs made a better offer, a two year deal. For big Brad, it's all about the length of contract now.
