He's a combative midfielder. I'd keep him.

With Makoun suspended we'll need him for the next few games.

And pay him £50k per week for the next 3/4 years?

Because that's the sort of contract he will get elsewhere.

I rate him. I think I'm in a minority here. Would rather get rid of Salifou. Petrov, as much as I like him, is past it. Delph is (still?) injured. Makoun and Bradley are untried at this level. At least Osbourne has gone, though.

With you on this, there are not that many combatative midfielders around, i have been impressed with him most times this season, his passing has been good, he gives to a bloke in his team

He definately adds something to the team when he's included.  As said above though, if GH sees Makoun as first choice, 50k+ a week is a lot of money for a player likely to spend much of his time warming the bench.

Limited footballer. £8.5m is a truly embarrassing fee. Time to move on.

I agree with you on this. Keep him, as long as it's for sensible wages.

Let him go. Good but not good enough.

And if it's not?

Which it won't be.

I with you both. He had a very good game yesterday, hardly put a foot wrong. We're a worse team without him.

Did I see him clapping the Villa fans at the end, albeit sheepishly?

It would have been rude not too, he was our MOM in my opinion and we were singing his name.  This was of course after all 2000 of us had told Howard Webb that he's a total and utter ****.

I also think he's worth keeping. Seems to have improved under GH and if we get rid who exactly are we replacing him with?
