I've heard that techinically good ones just grow on trees and are available in January.

These ones were alright last season weren't they?

I think these ones were good in a counter attacking system where we just needed to stand tall and clear the ball. Ask them to play a bit and they're not up to it.

If you look at the nine other useless wankers outfield with him it's a valid point.

He was our best player in the first half. Absolutely crap in this one mind. Some of us can see both sides without having to entrench ourselves with a certain opinion.

well, we just need liverpool to score and today's results will have worked in our favour...I mean obviously, we aren't good enough to rely on ourselves..

I don't care that they can't play a bit, it's just the normal defending from a corner that I expect.

Yes, that's the worrying thing.

It's very difficult to sign anyone in January, obviously, but when we see the defence not seeming to be able to do the basics week after week, it is bemusing.

I'm not arguing with you, but a lot of it is down to confidence. Heading a football away and marking players shouldn't need to be taught.

Balls.  His delivery was piss poor in the 1st half as well so no need for the s"some of us can see both sides" nonsense.  Also, I am a big Downing fan and get back him often when others don't, today he is poor and I am stating that, isn't that seing the other side???
