yep with all the goal to aim at he picked the post, before that he picked the keeper

He found the post from 20-odd yards out. What a prick.

Gabby a left winger... do me a favour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he isn't playing on the left wing though. He's playing left of centre.

He has just run all thye way down the left wing and because he has not got a left foot, he has had to stop and check inside to lose the ball and then to compound it gives away a stupid free-kick. Oh by the way what the heck is 'left of centre'?

Did you see the space he got from the left to erm.... score the goal?

That makes up for everything else then, fair enough, must be my mistake, he is obviously a fantastic left-winger, should be called up for England soon then!

He was last week. Anymore silly comments?

If Downing wallopped the ball into the onion bag from 50 yards out three times hawkeye would moan he didn't do it from 60 yards.

Yeah, Downing's deliveries have been first rate.

Downing has done ok, but his final ball has been very poor. Overall that is our big issue.

Agreed, on the whole, we have trouble passing a football when it really counts.

Just got to say Downing didn't actualy miss. It was a good save. Maybe he may have dine better, but he has been our most influential and most likely to create or score himself this afternoon. he's playing well, most of the team are to be fair.
Im enjoying this, its a good game.

if it wasn't for Downing's contribution this season, we'd be in the bottom 3...

Agreed. Can't understand some nutters on here think he's been our best player. Must be something in the water in south Brum.
