Does anybody whos been to an International at Twickenham have any tips about pubs and places in and around the place itself?
Due to the engineering works the earliest im going to get to London marylebone is 10.50 which prob means with a 14.30 kick off my drinking time may be rushed.

I've always done the journey by car and used the pubs in Whitton.
The best thing about Twickenham though is that the beer at the ground isn't a bad pint. There's plenty of places to get it, never a big queue. And there's always a large drinking tend in the car park. Although I expect it to by £5 a pint this year.

If your boozy time is limited, go straight to the stadium. There are loads of bars and it's good, quick service.
The stadium itself is brilliant. Knocks spots off the atmosphere at Wembley. Get there in good time and soak it all up.

I work in Twickenham, Mac's right, the main pubs in Twickenham are a left turn out the station and a couple of minutes walk in the opposite direction of the stadium so not worth it if you're running late, there are no pubs on the way to the stadium from the station so best to drink in there.
Head in to Twickenham for a drink afterwards as the station will be a nightmare, if you're a real ale person then I recommend the Eel pie on Church street, walk past the station over the bridge and walk along the high street passing a Wetherspoons, pass a HSBC and cross the road, at the next corner is a Barclays, that's Church Street, the Eel Pie is near the bottom on the left. 10 minute walk from the station.

We have always parked at Kew Gardens and got the train a few stops down to Twickenham, there are loads of good pubs at the ground.

Twickenham itself - The Cabbage Patch, left out the station, over the bridge & its on your right
Richmond - Opposite the station, The Orange Tree, RFU buses direct to ground from outside, my preffered option to be honest Richmond is a nice town with plenty of pubs and way easier to get in & out of post game.
At the ground, plenty of beer in the old West Car Park, mostly black beer.

It's a bit less crowded around Twickenham town after the game although it can all get a bit messy. If you have time take the train 3 stops or so to Barnes-lovely pubs there.

I think Richmond might be where I will drink before the game because i've heard it has a decent amount of pubs and im getting the tube thus, it fits the bill for a pre match drink. I'll be looking to arrive at Richmond just before midday if my journey planner is right so thats 2 1/2 before kick off.
I'll heed the advice of you guys for the after match drink and yes I like my real ales so the Eel Pie looks good. I just hope Villa will be doing the business against Blackpool.

Thought I'd add this as it also has a map.
