Hopefully we can keep it tight in the first 10-15 minutes. Fulham will have to come after us and it should open up some space. I expect a Darren Bent goal on the counter in the second half.

I hear you, but I count on one hand the number of Villa games that haven't been on either Fox, ESPN or ESPN3.com this season.....it's been great.  Even this one is on at 5pm EST.

No, fair enough, but even at that price, even for the few times like today where we're not shown it's money well spent. The next 10 or so games are not going to be high profile so we might have a few more weekends like this scrambling around for dodgy streams. Just makes it a little easier.

I know, I need to stop being a tight bastard.  I wouldn't mind if the money was going to Villa, I wish the club would do something official with good quality, I would pay for that.

I know I resisted for ages too. But in the end I just took it on the chin and paid it. It would be good if it went to the club, but quite honestly I give them my support in other ways. Mainly when I go home I leave with half of the club shop.

So has GH turned us around? Is he now the right man for the job?

Despite being 1-0 up we have been really ordinary. This Young in the hole, Downing right and Gabby left is plain not working. Whenever our midfield get the ball and I think both of them have done ok - Gabby doesnt really want it and will turn inside, Downing is practically playing in centre midfield and Young is hiding from it. Bent too needs to offer a bit more of an out ball. Defensively we have been solid apart from Collins with a mad rush from the defensive line for Sidwell's chance. As with the away game three points are for the taking here but Houllier needs to change the formation.

Im not a huge Bannan fan but Pires ahead of him on the bench is a nonsense. Game is crying out for someone like him really. Get the feeling from Ashley Young that he has left the club in spirit. Wouldnt be averse to him being replaced actually at half time.

Ashley Young's through balls are ALWAYS to heavy and it is costing us goals.  When will he learn to put a perfectly weighted ball through to Bent?

Walker is average at best, after starting so well at Sheff Utd.

Tony Gale (co-commentator on Villastreams) is a London biased Villa hating tosser.

Other than that it's been a good half and Makoun is class, just what we need.  Better deliveries and we will win this easily.  Problem is though, we haven't had a shot on goal yet have we!?

Only when we're challenging for fourth place again, I suppose. Positive steps, though.

How do one and all. No computer working so just a flying visit to Match Thread. How are we doing so far?
I would like to say we are on fire*. I hope that made you smile even though you haven't had the best of weeks. ;-)
