Is Petrov actually on the pitch? Genuinely not heard him mentioned

Unfortunately so.

Makoun does look good but I hope there is a little more to his game.  So far he has been finding space, getting the ball and passing it 10 yards after 1 or 2 touches.  Can he hold the ball, drive forward and play a defence splitting pass?

Exactly what Sir Graham is saying on R5...

I am sure there is more to his game, maybe that is his instructions... make space get the ball, give it to Ash / Marc and Downing to create.

He keeps the ball moving and rarely wastes possession

Anyone having problems with streams should pay a couple of quid for villa streams, it's well worth it.
Listen to the Bill. No buffering, watching Villastreams on laptop at fullscreen in HD. You riff-raff ought to invest and stop whingeing about crappy streams.

Makoun should play alongside NRC in a game like us.  We've hardly put a tackle in in the middle of a park.  lightweight.

This Ashley Young playing behind the striker just isn't working.  In fact, it hasn't worked all season.  Why can't Houllier just play 4-4-2 with Bent and Agbonlahor up front?

Agreed.

Our style of play is improving we are trying to pass it around more, with a lack of cutting edge granted but you can see the fruits of what Gerard is trying to do.

We will more than likely lose today but I can see green shoots of something more exciting to watch.

I'd go with Gareth Barry in case we get a penalty.

We're being humoured here. We're nowhere near causing them a problem.
