Bent v Young for penalty duty
« on: January 26, 2011, 05:51:00 PM »

Was it just me? Or did anyone else react with horror when Young grabbed the ball for the pen last night. Given their respective records for scoring from the spot, surely Bent needs to be given the job. I know he scored but it wasn't exactly well placed.

I think it will continue to be Young until he next misses then Bent will take over.

Why didn't Barry take the pen?

Young shits me up when he approaches that ball at that weird angle and then tries to stroke it, he missed a few using that technique, to be fair he's just wacked his last 3 and has scored them all so until he misses he should continue

Just for the record Bent has scored 15 times from the spot and missed 3 (twice in one match).

It was a decent penalty in fairness, but I'm sure I read last week that Bent was the designated penalty taker.

Apparently Bent went to take the ball but Ash told him to jog on.So I suppose till he misses he'll continue

If Young continues to take them like he did at Chelsea he won't miss many.

Annoyed me as I had Bent to score anytime at 5-4 !!

Good penalty though.

I don't mind who takes them as long as they score but being as though Ash is scoring then let him keep taking them.

Ashley can keep taking them until he misses then DB can take them until he misses and then they rotate like that, job done!
