I know a lot of you aren't in favour of it but it needs to be done. After all of the positivity of the past few weeks, unfortunately there must be a protest tomorrow.
Fuck no.
We need a united front tomorrow.

I meant a protest about playing that song tomorrow! I'm fully behind the lads. Even wearing my new 1993/95 away shirt especially!

The club missed a trick with the volunteer singers anyway.
They could have done X factor auditions throughout the week with entrants claiming that they're doing it for their dying Mother while 'Flying without wings' pipes in the background.

Oh, fair enough.
Hopefully our singing will drown the dirge out anyway.

A minute or so before the players come out they should start playing the bell ringing, then as the players come out have that guitar intro and then fade out as the players line up so as the fans can start singing.
Personally I think that could sound quite impressive. But I may well be in a minority of one with that idea.

No, the bells and intro are fine. I prefer the version I posted earlier.

I really really like 'The Bells are Ringing', when sung by the fans. This is cringeworthy rubbish. The idea is brilliant but the fact that the club have manufactured this makes it a failure for me. The best songs/anthems are inspired by the fans themselves and usually for no apparent reason.

I wouldn't worry about the Newcastle fans reaction before kick off. Most of them queuing up for pies, while the rest will be admiring each other's breasts.

Why did they bother getting all those fans to sing it on the Holte steps if they were just gonna make their own? They should just play a recording of that with the bells and a wee bit of piano and drums in the background.

Fuck the anthem, come on the Villa - PLEASE sent the topless Geordies back to hell.

I quite like it. Could do with a cowbell though.

from the OS: "A new recording of The Bells Are Ringing, made by supporters, will be played at every home match for the remainder of the season."

So now they're blaming us are they? :P

I think we need a rousing chorus of "Shit on the City" sung by the St Winifred's School Choir to inspire the lads. Plus a free white flag to wave at FA Cup games.

Gerrowdofit. Tomorrow is all about supporting the team to the full. The results today, Albion aside, were pretty positive for us. If Blackpool lose tomorrow then we have an excellent chance of putting some daylight between us and the drop.
