I have been asked by Mysteryman, who has no internet connection at the moment, to inform patrons of H&V that 8 Aston pubs will be playing 'The Bells' tomorrow, I assume he means the one with the musical backing.
Can you ask him to tell Randy to veto any more airings of said horror recording?

They'd better not be playing it in the 1982 lounge tomorrow, or I shall not be responsible for my actions.

I think it must have been produced by Barry Bethell, well known Slimfast guzzler and kiddy fiddler.

Just playing the bells over the tannoy as the cue for the fans, and then letting the fans sing it on their own would have been much better imo. If we were at an away ground and we heard that song over the tannoy we would rip the piss.

From what I've heard, they're more than used to you dancing on the tables.

Dear Mr Man in charge of the tannoy tomorrow.

Play the intro but don't let the vocals start. Better still, play the Inch by Inch speech first.

Someone get onto the club or someone go and kidnap the tannoy bloke tomorrow to stop this cheese-fest from being played. If it was just the bells and the intro, and then stopped for the fans to sing it would be great but if that song gets played we're all going to get a ridiculous amount of stick! I just hope everyone sings our version over the top so noone watching on tv can hear it!

It'd be good, if we got rid of that shitty techno beat in the background, and dulled the vocals down a bit, so the fan's got right behind it. It'll work, with the Newcastle fans pissing themselves laughing to much to get behind their own team

Seriously, we will never live this down. An 80's power ballad style entrance is too embarrassing for words..

When is pre match music ever heard on TV. It's a rubbish recording but I think you are getting a bit carried away.

I've been told it's going to be played as the players come out which everyone will hear, and even if they don't the Newcastle fans will which will be embarassing enough. It is cringeworthy and we'd take the piss at another team's ground if we heard that. The club have ruined it, they should have just played the bells and thats it, they shouldn't have got involved apart from that.

After quite a few listens it's growing on me.  I've never known a song confuse me so much - well not since Adam and The Ants released "Prince Charming" at any rate.

As for the Newcastle fans they won't even know what's going on, they'll be oblivious to the whole thing so I wouldn't let them worry you.  Let's fire up the lads and get three points.

I know a lot of you aren't in favour of it but it needs to be done. After all of the positivity of the past few weeks, unfortunately there must be a protest tomorrow. I don't think I can take listening to it tommorow. It just makes me cringe. I'm currently being forced to watch mamma Mia and I'd rather have an abba song belting out than that load of rubbish.
