Judging by the amount of tickets left, the whole things going to fall a bit flat. Hope I'm wrong.

Hopefully someone informs the club how shit that version is andan it doesn't get played on Sunday, they can play the fan version 10 minutes before kick off on the big screens or something.

I'm sure enough people have heard of it for the song to take off anyway, we don't need that.

It's a start. It might actually work in front of forty odd thousand, too.  Definitely not what I was expecting, though.

After a few beers and a bit of adrenaline, those bells in the intro just might take on a life of their own...if the whole thing gets the crowd to join together and sing the chant then it will be a case of job done.  It just could work.  (Fingers crossed!!)  If not, simply keep the bells, fade out the vocals and let the crowd take over.

Agreed, just keep the bells and let the fans take over.

I could only manage to listen to abut 5 seconds of that 'voice' singing before switching it off. How could somebody get something so simple, so wrong.

That final version is cringey so theres only one thing for it, we need to sing our own bells are ringing at the top of our voices when it's played so you can't hear it.

This.

I've been informed we're not meant to sing along to that version. Apparantly that is going to be played just before or just as the players run out, then when the bells ring at the end the fans are meant to kick in and sing it without the song. Thats what i've been told the plan is for the song tomorrow.

I do not want to hear that 'song' played at, or anywhere near, Villa Park tomorrow or at any other time.

If it's played I shall use my scarf to cover my ears.  It's awful.

That sounds better, but I don't like the sound of this 'we're not meant to sing along to that version'. The club have done enough, it'll be sung, leave us to our own devices now please.

The fans version will sound like this x 1, just after 4PM.

The Bells are ringing for claret and blue
The Holte end's singing for claret and blue
To Villa weyoye
The Villa weyoye
And the Villa weyoye
We're the best in the land, Best in the land!

The bells are ringin.......fade.

If we do that, they'll probably think "they're all signing along, they love it, let's play this shit every game".

2. AVFC Pravda "new" Bells are Ringing: UTTER WANK! DO NOT PLAY. NO. FAIL!

I would like to have Percy's enthusiasm and optimism, but no. This is what happens when people paid to market things get hold of it. Dire!
Just in case anyone from the club is listening, I'm quoting myself again. You REALLY need to LISTEN to me. PLEASE! ;-)

Looking on the bright side, at least we haven't teamed up with Status Quo like man utd did for a couple of their utterly shite  club songs.  On that score alone I feel better about this.

I have been asked by Mysteryman, who has no internet connection at the moment, to inform patrons of H&V that 8 Aston pubs will be playing 'The Bells' tomorrow, I assume he means the one with the musical backing.

Or Max Bygraves.

Shame Deano has popped his cloggs.

Only joking.
