I'm sure it can be "re-tweaked" for the new season.  I can't quite understand why it has a totally different melody to the original.  I can only assume it could be something to do with copyright?

There's been a terrible mistake. Everyone learn the words to Dirty Old Town.

I don't understand. Everything I read from the club was to the effect that they knew it had to come from the supporters. They were right.

So what the chuff is that?

Was down VP this afternoon and heard that 'ringing' out.  Awful.

I really hope they are not going to play this as the team comes out.

The chant itself would be ok but this version -  NOOOOOOOOOO

They have jumped on a bandwagon that had just started its journey and taken the whole initiative back below square one. Totally baffled.

Just listened to it.....dreadful.  I did say near the start of the thread it won't work a song through the club it has to come from the fans.  It's going to be embarassing listening to that on Sunday.

We can't let it effect the atmosphere; we need to get behind the team.

Oh, also, we're on Sky Sports - The entire fucking world's gonna hear it.

You'd have thought that all clubs would have learned by now that when they take over fan things they always fuck them up.

I'm sure the club will listen and get this right for the new season.  For now, as Chipsticks says, we need to keep it positive and get behind the team.  The song might not be the finished article but I'm pretty sure it will help build up the the atmosphere on Sunday.  Roll on the match.

They should keep the start of it and go straight into "Black Sabbath".
