Nor me, to be honest. But what would you suggest as an alternative?

I love the Bells Are ringing personally. Sung by thousands it can be a great anthem - forest away 86-87 springs to mind and the semi against Chelsea last year. the second 'Best in the Land' really can get the hairs standing on end. well done all.

Haven't got an alternative suggestion to be honest, which is one of the reasons i'm not going to criticise anyone for it and will join in singing it in the ground.

Nice one. Far better than the SOTC dirge and the McGrath one. Can. Worms. Opened. Sorry!

The bells are ringing for the claret and blue,
The fans are singing for the claret and blue,
Everybody is knowing,
To the Villa we are going,
Cause the Villa are showing,
We're the best in the land.
BEST IN THE LAND!!

I've rewritten it to make it more appealing to the younger generation:

The bells are ringing cus we 'ate Blues
The bells are ringing fuck fuck fuck fuck

<wink>

Well done to all concerned.

I only think that would work though if all of those people were sat together on Sunday.

Villa1, I got the impression that the song was new to you and there's a zest to your posts that suggests youthful vigour but apologies if I have misjudged it.
