my thoughts exactly wikivilla..

one thing about being at a club like blackpool, the team is built around you, and your positive points are highlighted... while negative ones are ignored...

if he came to the villa, or liverpool, it would be the other way round, as the positive things are expected as a minimum... and the many passes he misplaces, will be highlighted as he gives the ball away and doesnt try to win it back...

Barry Bannan for me.  I haven't seen too much of Charlie Adam to be honest, but I watched Scotland with Barry and Adam playing in the centre a couple of months back.  Barry Bannan was the main man that night.

Adam not Adams in the title.

Blackpool are playing a dangerous game, if they start being stubborn over this.

Just set a realistic price, make it public and say if we don't get £xxx he is staying, like MoN did with Barry.

They're just trying to push the price up further first. If he's on £10k per week and only has 18 months to go in his contract, it would only cost them around £750k to pay up his contract if they tried to force him to move. He's now saving them that anyway, but they're just trying to get the best deal for their club with 1 week to go before the window shuts which I can understand.

Unlike Sunderland who were so disgusted and disappointed by our attempt to sign Bent that they accepted the first and only bid we made...

Absolute hypocrites.

It'll be interesting to see where Holloway goes now with his determination not to blame King Kenny for any of this.

I expect him to blame it on Gezza wearing a Kenny mask, the damn devious little surrender monkey!

If they turn his request down but then accept a bid of £6M from Liverpool or us, does that mean they'd have to give him his "loyalty" bonus.

They didn't want to pay him that £20K relegation bonus, I can see this getting very messy, that's what you get for managing a half-arsed club Ian.

It'd be ironic if Liverpool now dropped out of the bidding.

Even funnier if we did, too.

It would be quite amusing to see us both drop out of the bidding leaving Wurzel with a player pissed off with him for denying him the chance to play at a bigger club. Or alternatively he could make a sideways move to the Blues of course.
