On VillaTalk the general has said Makoun still hasn't had chance to train yet so highly doubt he'll be in tonight.

OS has snaps of him training and GH has said he is in contention for tonight..

What's wrong with Albrighton? Injury? Sick?

Would love to see him play tonight.

Nothing that I know of. Just think we need to make sure we don't over play some of our youngsters. Rest them plus keep them hungry for more!

True.

I'd rather Albrighton play tonight though. Big, wide pitch with lots of room to run at whipping balls into Bent. A win tonight would be massive and I feel we've got to play our best team to ensure we go 6 points ahead of our opponents tonight.

How I'd play with everybody fit:

................................Friedel

Walker..........Collins.............Dunne..........Clark

...................Makoun..............Delph

Albrighton................Young...................Downing

.................................Bent

Marshall, Cuellar, Lichaj, Petrov (or NRC), Bannan, Agbonlahor, Heskey

Amazing when we could be in a position to start leaving out the likes of Delfouneso (which I dont really want to do) and Reo Coker.

I think we'll win this one.

I'm going for 3-1 to us.

I wouldn't leave Albrighton out; best crosser of the ball in the side, currently.

If Makoun's in reasonable shape - and he's been training with Lyon and playing regularly so there's no reason he shouldn't be - it would be good to give him an hour. Get him up to speed as quickly as we can with the trip to Old Trafford this weekend.

I'd be tempted to move Downing over to the left, have Gabby on the bench. Scope for change later in the game if we need or want to - Downing off, Ash wide left, Gabby on as a front two with Bent.

Hopefully 2-1 to us. Not going to find out the score and watch it on sky at 10. Last time I did that though was against Man City at Christmas.

Its blood great to have options, gotta sneaky feeling he'll go with Heskey and Bent up top with Young on the left and Marc on the rite, Petrov and Makoun in the middle, however it could be something totally different with Young playing behind Bent with Downing and Marc out wide, setting out at 4.30, can't wait for this one

Has looked like a must win game ever since it was called off in Dec. Saturday's result makes it slightly less must win now, but it would be great to pull away from the dross and look higher up the table.

I would have backed us to win the game had it gone ahead in Dec, following on from the Olbiyun game. The way this season has gone though, you just don't know.

Wigan have the players to cause any side a problem, they've given a few big teams nosebleeds up there in recent years and they'll still be smarting after Saturday's drubbing at Arsenal.

A win would put daylight between us and the genuine relegation contenders but whatever we do, we must not lose. That would open the thing right up again.

1-1 draw, us with a late equalizer.

Thinking about it I'd  defiantly play NRC, we need freshness in the team tonight.
