The team worked so hard against Man City I fear this tuesday game may be coming a little too soon for a potentially leggy set of players.

While I'd love a win, I'll be happy enough with a draw. A defeat at Wigan, followed by a visit to Old Trafford could see us back in the bottom three.

If Dunne & Collins play that good again then I can't see Wigan troubling us.

Nothing like a bit of optimism, is there!?

Got to be careful Wigan can do to us what we did to City.

Do you honestly think after putting in a full shift against Man City, that those players are going to be happy with a draw at Wigan. I think the word delusional comes to mind ......

Wigan is a MUST win game

No it isn't, we've given ourselves a bit of breathing space with the Citeh win and have a run of very winnable games after Man Utd.
A draw wouldn't be a bad result.

It's not a "must win" in the sense of the battle against relegation, but it's a vitally important match all the same.

If we win this and maybe get a point at Old Trafford, I reckon we've built ourselves a platform for a charge up the table - we'd certainly have  a head of steam worked up.

I just hope we don't repeat the Chelsea - Sunderland let down and lose the momentum.

fook, what a difference a week makes  . 95% villa win at the moment , would have been 34% last mth..  Villa 2-0  Bent , Young
Our owner's randy and our goalscorers are young and bent - so maybe we should look forward to playing away more.

3-1 Villa

Would like to see Makoun start, if he's been keeping himelf fit during the process of negotiations and getting clearance then he should be in good physical condition.  He has to adapt to English football at some point so throw him in at the deep end.

Bent, Clark and Downing for us.   Rodallega for them.

No. Bring him on in the second half when hopefully we're coasting. See what he's capable of.

I'm sorry but considering where we are, every game should be seen as a " must win game". Once we have 40 points then maybe this will cease.
