Oh my nerves are shredded. Defence threw themselves in front of everything and a clean sheet as well.
We let them have far too much possession and we gave the ball away cheaply but can't knock the effort.
Bent didn't really get the service but the only opportunity that did come he tucked away which is what we have been missing until now. That goal is worth the fee alone.

I posted the team on the post-match thread? It was an omen. Solid performance, even though we have very little to offer going forward. Apart from a goal.

I saw that Darren, do it again next week please!

The journos were all right. Bent is so one-dimensional. All he does is score goals.

I'm glad my powers of prediction are useless. Three badly needed points and a massive shot in the arm. We're moving up.

Absolutely! A man mountain. Best game in a Villa shirt tonight. The whole team deserve respect for the effort.

Really good game.

Collins was superb closely followed by the rest of the defence. Thought we had no chance of winning on another day they could of easily had a stormer.

Never the less ecstatic with the 3 points.

Great, nerve-racking performance!  I believe Milner sat in the luxary seats?  While our 20M-ish pound transfer put in the game winner.  I'll take that bit of business everytime!

On that note ... Gabby is completely wasted on the wing.  He'll make a decent sprint for a couple of yards, and then have no clue about what to do with it.   I just don't get it ... it's like putting Friedel at striker or something.  It's not for lack of effort ... he just doesn't belong there.

Outside of that, I thought everyone else put in tremendous shifts.
