It's easy to get carried away after the fantastic events of yesterday, but the Wastelands mob are still a good team and Tevez can cause any defence problems.  This week's events will give the whole place a lift and there should be a real buzz at the ground come 5.30 Saturday. Can't see either team not scoring - 2-2 with a last minute goal by our Darren.

We will do well to get a result. It's true. Their defence ain't solid atm though. Like us. Score draw probably. Sad but I would be happy with that.

Tough game despite our boost - they have very good strikers now - I'll go for a 2-2. Wigan on Tuesday is a bigger game IMO.

I reckon a bit of a damp squib here with a two goal margin of defeat, before a run of much improved results over the next couple of months.

Surely we can't be as bad as we played a couple of weeks ago at Eastlands ?

VP should be buzzing with expectation, I'm sure Daz Bent won't let it affect him
except in apositive way -

It's how we defend and stiffle Tevez that decides this one ...........

2-2 and need I say it a brace from the new boy

As long as it is a really confidence display (preferably not to lose) and Dazza gets on the score sheet would be happy. 2-2 .........

Bent won't score will he? It's just too obvious. A good, hardworking performance from the team getting a 1-1 draw. Collins again (from a corner) after 25 minutes while we sit back and Citeh dominate us, with Dzeko netting the equialiser after the hour and we hang on.

It could be just riding the wave of optimism from this week but I really fancy us to nick this one.
As it should be. I dont care how much dirty cash they have, with their £20m+ players (oh...erm....)
it's Man City coming to Villa Park.

Hopefully Bent will have a Dion Dublin-esqe debut.  I'm going for 2-2.  Bent will score but I dont think we'll win.

My brother has reneged on his vow not to return to VP until The French Tosser has had the sack. I've had to give him his season ticket back.

Think so yes, he's back for Wigan if selected

City have only conceded 9 goals in 11 away games this year, which says a lot about how they set themselves up away from home.

Our defence is going to have to put in a serious performance to get a result here. I think even a battling draw could give us a good lift going into Tuesday's game, where 3 points are a must.
