Is there anymore hearsay on the Small Heath Alliance player Larsson ??

I heard he's only on £8k per week (only !!) so very gettable

Is he any better than what we got, or just buy him for the sake of it and let him sit it out in the reserves for 5 years, the smelly blue nose shitebag :)
Really can't see it myself.

RE: Ireland, I'm still salivating at what we could achieve if he knuckles down and gets into the side. Imagine him in front of a solid central midfield (Makoun) feeding an attacking triumvirate of Young, Bent and Albrighton with Downing and Agbonlahor waiting on the sidelines. Not only do we have more goals in us now, but we have real depth as well. A couple more signings like the last three and it becomes very very difficult to find players who we could sign and who would improve us. A very good sign imho...

Absolutely delighted with Darren Bent signing. Thank you AVFC. It's what big clubs do.

Gerard came across really well on TV, it was good he mentioned Nathan and Gabby, and the fact Downing and Young are not for sale should shut up the doom merchants in the media.

Let's get some points on the board and start looking to the future.

I think GH reiterating that Downing and Young would not be sold is top news.

We don't want Larssen.

If IF Ashley is off in the Summer, N'Zogbia would be a great replacement, but I hear so many negative reports about Larssen from folk who struggle to be critical of any of their players to a Villa fan !

Darren Bent - Number 39 in claret and blue, get fucking in !!

I hope so, Gabby and Bent up front, young and albrighton on the wings, makoun and downing in the centre. Would love to see that on Saturday!

Great text from Andy in Gloucester on 5Live - something along the lines of 'you're all just bitter about Villa showing some ambition. Proven goalscorer's cost a lot of money - look at Drogba etc etc'.

And then Danny Mills proved his point immediately by saying he thought it was from 'Randy in Gloucester'.

Man City spend, what, 28m on some Bosnian who has done ok in Germany = no big deal

Chelsea spend 18m on Ramires who turns out to be absolutely fucking toilet = no big deal

Liverpool spend 17m on Aquilani who tanks = no big deal

Aston Villa spend 18m on the player who has scored more PL goals than anyone bar two players over the last five years = boo hoo, wailing and general bitchiness.

Indeed.  How DARE we?!?

Bang on the money, Paulie. Fuck 'em all, I say.

Tonight could genuinely be the start of something exciting.
