wheres that cn*t Oliver holt and his media croonies...   no money , Villa finished, MON is too good for Villa...

fook you  , the lot of you...

Well, the Daily Mail still had to have a little dig...

[i[For Aston Villa fans there will be mixed feelings.

With Martin O’Neill also departing the club in the summer due to a lack of support in the transfer market, could this mark a change of policy for owner Randy Lerner?

If so, Villa fans will be ruing the loss of their charismatic manager in the summer and subsequent stagnation under Gerard Houllier.[/i]

I am absolutely delighted if we get Bent,

BUT 18 rising to 24 million is too much money. Let's just hope they buy Ireland.

I just feel that if we pay that much for him and he doesn't score goals straight away there will be alot of pressure on him and Villa!

What does this do for our "Villa are skint" perception in the media, and "Randy isn't committed" perception among some of our "supporters"?

Bent I'm Birmingham now according to sky, Sunderland turned down bid and then bent asked for transfer when he heard villa had bid so Sunderland reluctantly accepted bid of £18m plus add ons.

Bent in brum and awaiting permission to discuss terms and medical.

SSN at Bodymoor Heath now

Apparently, Bent is in the Birmingham area awaiting permission from Sunderland to travel to BH to open talks

We put in a bid at the weekend which was refused and when Bent heard about it, he submitted a transfer request...

I for one am very happy with this bid obviously and the fact the M'ON wasn't given any more money to waste.

The bid is too low according to Sunderland local media.

Some twattish comments being emailed in on SSN mind you - someone saying O'Neill should have been given this sort of money. Yer right, to buy Kevin Nolan, Kevin Davies and Robbie Keane no doubt...

Great to hear Villa fans emailing in from all over the country though....reinforces our image as a BIG club

Sunderland Echo reporting bid hasn't been accepted and that they think he's worth a lot more.

I think it is a blessing he went to Sunderland after Spurs. He wasnt well received at WHL, despite the goals he scored. So a £12m move to Sunderland was make or break. He could have lost confidence and failed to live up to the price tag. But instead, he proved Harry wrong and scored a bucketload of goals.

He should be able to cope with an £18m price tag playing for us. I'm feeling very good about it.
