I was in Colombia recently,and saw a handful of folk in old Villa shirts,must be the JPA factor. Though I must admit,I didn't count people in Utd shirts.UTV.

Just come back off holiday in Pefkos, Rhodes and in a cocktail bar called Rock Garden which also has apartments that you can stay in. If i go back i will try to stay there as these pictures prove is it has good taste there is something on the cocktail menu that is a must buy if/when you go there.

No, mate. And this is one of the reasons why my mates and I did choose Villa as our team when we were kids. One is that "Villa" is an Italian name, so it sounded to us more familiar than the likes of Rovers, United or Wanderers. The other is that these beautiful colours, the colours of the wine and the sky, with the body different from the sleeves, in Italy don't exist, so that team looked to us so . . . how can I say?. . . "English" (even if it may sound strange to you), and excited our fantasy.

No,no, that sounds sensible enough. I also prefer the image of William McGregor et al sitting around a table with various cuts of cloth saying after rejecting some inferior colour, "The other is that these beautiful colours, the colours of the wine and the sky, with the body different from the sleeves". A few weeks go, after one of the devastating home losses, I was at a 'fandango' minding my own business, when someone walked past me wearing a black AVFC coat, from about 3 years ago.

I couldn't actually believe it, but apparently the guy had studied in England and picked up the coat for next to nothing at an end of season sale, in Sussex or something.

So didn't actually meet a fan, but still the first Mexican-Villa appearance so far.
