Kiraly playing for 1860 Munich
« on: January 15, 2011, 09:38:24 PM »
Working in Germany at the moment and just been half watching the Bundesliga 2 highlights (TV on in the background while cooking and drinking).  Up comes the 1860 Munich –v- Bochum game and I spotted the 1860 keeper wearing dirty grey tracksuit bottoms.  Yes – Kiraly is plying his trade in the German 2nd division.

Made a couple of good saves then completely screwed up for Bochum’s 2nd goal.  Nothing changes, but I do like extrovert keepers.

Bocum went on to win 3 – 1 in front of 16000 in the Allianz Arena.

Any other ex Villa players playing in the lower tiers of overseas football?

I saw Zoltan Steiber score the other week against my local team Paderborn. Looks like he has found his level

Steiber was fantastic in the reserves. What happened?

Stefan Moore played for Halesowen last season.

Halesowen is like another country.

Take away that terrible error against Manure in the last minute and I didn't think Kiraly was that bad actually, didn't he leep a clean sheet against Chelsea in the game before?

What do you mean Halesowen is like another country.  I've lived there, Halesowen IS another country.

Yes, I thought he got a bad press.

Didn't help wearing trackie-bottoms, which made him look like a Sunday League player.

We've had worse goalies - Schmeichel, Carson and Postma (bad in a few ways) come to mind
