My abiding memory is of his backpass at Oldham but then again that might say more about me than him.

My abiding memory is the 89th minute at Highbury in 1990.  Delirium on the Clock End.  Oh, what a night!

As my 10000th post (well probably not as they keep going down every few days) I would like to wish him all the best. He was in the team when I first started watching and certainly in my first football memories of the Villa. As such he is a legend, as all of those early teams were as they were the heroes. I was a mere kid wishing I could one day be one of them.

When did we sign him, was it the summer just after we got promoted or was it the following year when McGrath and Nielsen arrived?  He wasn't here in SGT's first season was he.

Pretty sure he was here the year before God and Flobber Kent arrived. Can picture him in that pink-and-burgundy stripy Hummel monstrosity. In fact I think he was in the promotion squad the year before.
