It seems mad how desperate we all are for him to sign.  Says more about where we are than the ability of the player imo.  Even so, hopefully we can get him in, even if it does involve a few clauses.

It was like this when we were after Berson.  Crude translations of French websites and everything.

Bit harsh on Bad English.

To be fair, it's hard to translate the tone of vapid, pseudo-intellectual  pomposity that characterises most French sports journalism. Everything is written in the style of David Frost's memoirs, if you can imagine that.

Of course, they have the same problem in France when they have to contend with Oscar Wilde, William Shakespeare, James Joyce and John Donne, all of whom appear to be alive and well and living in Wapping and giving us "Hou, go on! Mak my day", "I only have eyes for Hou", "Hou ate my muff"...

Harsh but fair. Where's James Toner when you need him?

Kendrick on Talksport has said that he has spoken to high level Villa officials and there has been no hitch. Villa still confident.

He might have. But, of course, we've never met...

I always remember him asking us to detail our experiences of anal sex in the OT section but he didn't seem to want  to start us off.

Clearly the shit non-pun pun is a poor substitute for la gloire.

Houllier needs to get this tied up quickly now just to breathe a bit of confidence into the place.

Matt Kendrick has confirmed with a Villa source that the deal is still on and there has been no hitch. Fee agreed, now I imagine its wrangling about bonuses and image rights.

Is it right image right are a tax scam as in the player claims it as worldwide earnings so the UK taxman can't get his hands on the money?

If you looked at the Pompey creditors there were lots of non Uk companys which were obviously set up to do this, and this is one of the reasons that HMRC were disagreeing with the club regarding thier liability.
It is a tax scam but not a leagal one
