Makoun deciding weather to join AVFC or not according to Lyon.

A 'bit part player' ?

Started 11 of 19 games this season. Definitely not one of Lyon's essentials.

If he was, we wouldn't be buying him.

Come on Jean Two Makoun, the West Midlands is just like Southern Central France!

I've been to Lyon, I'll bet he didn't join them for the scenery.

So will the outcome be grey and miserable or warm and sunny?

Fingers crossed, if it's going to happen it looks like it will be tomorrow, subject to a medical of course.

Why did we pay 10 million for Davies? And now we are trying to sell him for 3 million!

£10m? - £7-8m I thought.
Ask MON why we are happy to take a $4-5m hit.

I'm more than a bit cynical about footballers, I can see this dragging out for another couple of days whilst he waits to see if anyone else comes in for him.

£8m transfer, £1.5m to loan him for the season?

Not done and dusted yet, but if completed would be an excellent signing I think. Transfers could well be Houllier's saving, if he gets them spot on.

The loan was only to help West Brom's tax situation. It was something they instigated.

I'd be very surprised if we paid anything for the pleasure of lowering their tax liability.

Is the correct answer.

What a waste of money.

Jean Makoun had happened in 2008 in Lyon, where part of the public Gerland quickly took a dislike, by associating it with Claude Puel, Lille's former coach. Faced with the intransigence of whistles, Cameroon had secured the agreement of their leaders to leave if an offer came to Lyon to meet the three parties. This is apparently the case of the offer from Villa.

Ooh, it's terrible being faced by the intransigence of whistles.
