and what is a quarter back  pass? FFS this is football. Association football  that has enough phrases to describe a pass or two!

Surprised that when the Liverpool fans were singing to Owen "Where were you Istanbul?", Tyldesley didn't take the opportunity to mention that he was there That Night.

I was particularly unimpressed with the highlights of one game last night where the cameraman couldn't keep up with the action as the ball was moved slowly forward and missed the resulting goal. Pathetic.

Leeds Untied was listed as one of the teams in the draw, apparently.

In the goals round up of the highlights, they actually missed a goal in one of the games, as the cross came in from the wing, saying
'The camera man couldn't keep up.'

Amateurish.

While we are having a good moan about what is served up to us on screens', what was that FA Cup promotion advert which was put on the screen before the Sheffield game?

I estimate the images to be as follows Alec Ferguson six times Trevor Brookin five times Charlie George four times Sir Stanley Matthews three times a huge fat fucker claiming to be Neville Southall three times copper on a white horse three times Matteo three times old bloke who either was or was doubling for the bald bloke Benny Hill used to pat on the head three times old lady with white hair included for PC reasons twice Ricky Villa once.   Aston Villa?   Not a glimpse.

That and the Star Wars music making my ears bleed tested my love of the game to the limit.

In the latter stages of today's draw I thought they had all the team's numbers up.

When Villa were drawn out against number 15 this was nowhere to be seen.

It's the preferred pronunciation.
