I think another one for the Tranmere game, I used to stand in the holte and I had a Villa coat my mother brought me for xmas, I tied it to the crash barrier as it was roasting that day at the back. The final whistle came and we all ran on the pitch me and my mate were dancing around on the pitch when it hit me...

I'd left my bloody coat tied to the barrier, I ran back up but it had gone, My mother went mental she made me ring the club to see if it had been handed in, not once but 7 or 8 times. How embarrasing

Err hello has anyone handed in a Villa coat? No thought not

Many spring to mind.  My first ever game 1979 at VP Liverpool 1.3,  v Liverpool 81,  v West Brom 81, Highbury '81,  Rotterdam, Barcelona 83, away to Wednesday 86 when the Blues went down,  Wembley 94........

But the Tranmere game does it for me in terms of excitment.    My god to be in the middle of that Holte day with my old man was magic.

Rotterdam on the other hand was something else completely.   Sheer utter unexpected bliss.

Man City at home was the last time I really enjoyed a final whistle. Not sure about the game!
