Who plays the most attractive/entertaining football ?
« on: January 04, 2011, 03:26:17 PM »
putting your own club prejudices to one side, which team has played the most entertaining football  this season ?

its been Arsenal for the last few years for me, but this year, and i cant believe i'm saying this,
 i reckon its Spurs
they always go out to attack and win, got plenty of firepower up front, and a few special players in midfield

they have done especially well in the champs league, whatever you think of Redknap, he turns a team out worth watching

Blackpool have entertained me most this season. All out attack, fighting for each other and shocking the big boys.

Spurs and Arsenal have played well for me too. I'd enjoy watching Spurs were it not for their manager, their fans and the fact they are Spurs.

Man Utd and Arsenal.

Bolton's football this season is a myth IMO

Teams that if I was a neutral I'd enjoy watching:

Arsenal, Spurs, Blackpool, then to a lesser extent Man U and Man City.  Even Bolton can knock it around a bit these days.

In absolute terms Barcelona. In England Arsenal, that I see as a small (ok, very small) Barça, the two teams also share the formation 4-3-3 with three CM, 2 wingers and one central forward.

Barcelona are miles ahead of anyone else.  Arsenal can bang on about it all they like, but I know who I'd rather watch.

Barcelona.

Arsenal are the best English club to watch when they're on song. Spurs rely more on pace and power but with Arsenal it is all about technique and ability.

I'd disagree with Arsenal this season. Tottenham are much better on the eye.

No way are Spurs better to watch than Arsenal. If Crouch is in the team then they play as much long ball as we did under O'Neill and people were ready to launch themselves off the Rotunda then.

Barcelona if we're talking about worldwide, Arsenal if you're talking about England.

Has to be Big Sam's Blackburn (or as was).

Very scientific approach to football, borrowed from the ponytailed bloke out of Karate Kid III

A Goalkeeper can't stand, he can't do owt."
"A Goalkeeper can't breathe, he can't do owt."
"A Goalkeeper can't see, he can't do owt."

And so on.

Comes in for so much stick, but he is just misunderstood. The prophet is seldom valued in his own time. Even those decked out in bluetooth headsets.

Arsenal can be very frustrating as at times they try to walk the ball into the net. Saying that, I've loved watching them in Europe this season.

As well as Tottenham being the most attractive in the Prem Watford are the most attractive I've seen in the league below.

Barcelona worldwide, Arsenal in this country

The rest of the bunch are hugely mediocre and I think the attractiveness quotient is at all time low, both here and abroad
