Is Delph ok?
« on: January 03, 2011, 12:06:05 PM »
Noticed he was missing yesterday at Chelsea. The Sunday Mercury said that he has a ''minor knee niggle'' I hope it's not the same knee as the cruciate injury? He should be fit for the FA Cup Tie at Sheffield United. Can't help thinking GH rushed him back too early - I think he'll be a massive player for us in the future, so needs careful handling.

They said he took a knock on the same knee when he came on at City, and would not be risked against Chelsea.

Rushed back ?

I'd guess 90% of the injured players have been rushed back and understandably so, what makes Delph so special he has to be molly coddled, more than any other.

Yes, it was as a result of a tackle by James Milner, and it was good to see Milner showing genuine concern for a former team mate - he went up to him twice afterwards to see if he was O.K.

Milner and Delph were exchanging some serious words. Delph even put a late challenge in on Milner. Was at match and Delph was swearing and gesturing at him for a long period .......

I noticed that too, although I thought that it was Zabaleta he was going mad at and Milner was trying to calm him down

I hope he's healthy and doing fine. He did really well against Spurs.

I hate Milner! That wasn't a good tackle by him on Fabian. I noticed Delph have ago at Milner later after the tackle. Let's hope it will be only two games that he misses.
