I've missed Stan. Despite slagging him off on a regular basis since Jan. But in his absence, the heart has grown fonder. Much as he's not as good as he was, until his replaced, he's got to play when he's fit.

I think Gerard Houllier is a recipe for relegation at this rate.  And now we are going to give him money.  What if he makes such piss poor decisions in the transfer window as he has made bad decisions all season and then continues to do so when picking them in certain positions.  How can he explain Hogg/Delph in midfield today?  How?

So you'd have the chairman sack him for playing Hogg and Delph in midfield?

I don't necessarily disagree with some of your comments about him, but we've a manager who has never had the option to buy his own players, and who is experiencing a rocky start.

We have to at least back him to do something in January.

We desperately, desperately need to start picking up points, and a lot more than we have done of late, though, you're right there.

We've now got two players in midfield who have only just came back into training. It won't help the problem as they are still outnumbered in midfield.

And I've always stuck up for Stan. He's been a big miss.

It's a far superior player to NRC. So yes, it is an improvement.

Trouble is, without Heskey nobody is holding the ball up when we attack, so it's all 'hoy it into the box and hope for the best'.

Still think we'll get a point.

Hope you're right.
