Boxing Day 1997
« on: December 20, 2010, 01:50:30 PM »
with us playing spurs this coming sunday (boxing day)
i would settle for a similar result or a scrappy 1-0

i watched this game while on holiday in benidorm with the EX , so the only recolection i really  have of this game was the dodgy equaliser by colin calderwood, and was it just after stanley beat some woman up (not ulrika)

Remember seeing the goals on the news that evening, scorcher of a free-kick from Stan at the end. The waste of space.

I wouldnt get to excited about us playing this game not with the weather forecast and with the snow we already have, I reckon the game is in doubt already

I still have the match on vhs which i set the video to record. Ok match which we were in complete control   of even when Spurs scored. Grayson had one of his better games and set up Collymore's first, Super Savo didnt score but played a blinder and sent over the cross for Draper's first. I also recall our lot singing "Are you watching, Andy Gray" in defense of Stan the Useless Man after both goals.

Milosevic played well that day I think, it was a great cross with his left.

Was there as I didnt miss a game that year but can honestly say I cant remember a thing about it other than encountering about 150 zulus walking down Bevington Rd after the game. Anyone else remember this or did I dream it?
