Game 39
« on: December 15, 2010, 07:19:14 AM »
was just surfing around and reading about the proposal for 'Game 39' - the premier league game to be played abroad from a couple of years ago.

Apparently (and its on wikipedia so it must be true) Sepp Blatter said at the time that it would 'harm England's world cup bid'

Anyone else think we should now go ahead with it just to piss him off ?

Yes. And then I'll go and find some other activity to pass time rather than watching football at all.

That's how I feel about it Chris.
Would be the last straw for me.

What if there is an option for 40 games and every team have away and home game oversea.

Can't see the need for it. I like NFL idea of Wembley though and went to 3 games.

I think we should hold a whole round of fixtures in Qatar, starting in June 2022.
