They should have had a more balanced set of questions.

It was nothing more or less what we get on here or any of the other Villa sites.

Same old questions and same old answers!

Maybe this has run it's course?

It's a good type of format as you get all his answers together rather than lost in the off-topic stuff that clogs up his thread on here. But agreed re the transfers. Not sure what Paul Brown was doing, letting so many of those ones through.

I learnt that VP is going ahead with any planned improvements ( North Stand) even though we haven't won the World Cup 2018 bid.

Nothing else !

He didn't quite say that. He said that the failed world cup bid has Zero effect on the redevelopment. As far as I'm aware they've always said that the stand will be developed when the time is right, they haven't said when that will be or what criteria they'll use to decide when the time is right.

We all appreciate the (unique) contact and respect the guts in facing the fans but........ constrained as he is by business politics we didn't learn much did we?

We didn't learn much, no. I understand why they're exploring that route, what with the media rading this and similar boards for the odd quote, but by using that format the General becomes just another club mouthpiece.

Personally, I'd argue that a bit of negative spin here and there is nothing when balanced against the General's contribution without a filter, but I doubt the club see it that way. Another reason to extend my thanks to the British press.
