I remember getting up in the middle of the night to listen to the commentary on BRMB.

Butler and his infamous prayer mat……  ???

Such a shame we couldn't have won that game too, "Aston Villa - World Champions" sounds fantastic to me.

I remember Butler playing "Four In The Morning" to death and making a huge fuss about broadcasting at such an ungodly hour.

I was 10 then and was going to listen to the BRMB coverage from under my duvet with my little radio, but I fell asleep and didnt wake up until the game was over and we had lost.  Doug Ellis had not long returned to the club as chairman and I remember him being interviewed from Japan with him being philosophical.  It funny how we started losing upon his return!

I guess it sounded quite exotic then and seemed to sound like something from another planet!
